Azure Networking is an organization comprised of thousands of engineers, building and operating dozens of critical production services and platforms, from physical networks to high-level applications. Security is in the basis of it all; without it, our customers and platform would be vulnerable to attacks and exploits. The Israeli site for Azure Networking is growing to become a center of excellence for network security for the entire organization.


Were looking for tenured security researchers to join a new team that is tasked with the job of making Azure Networking more secure. Our goal is to identify the weak spots in our services’ architecture and in our network, research for any potential exploits, assess the severity of any threats, work with engineering teams and peering security teams to resolve high severity issues, provide a security-first mindset to the design process, and realize the root-cause that can help us not only close specific breaches, but also address large classes of issues, navigating the organization to a more secure posture.

You will join to become a senior member of a new team that is tasked with improving the security of Azure Networking. That includes:

  • Researching for vulnerabilities across our network stack, platform and services.
  • Performing Red-Team operations on our assets, disclosing those findings and helping engineering teams defend from future attacks.
  • Work with engineering teams across the world, understanding their services’ architecture and interfaces, design considerations and providing them with tools and knowledge to make their products more secure.
  • Collaborate with various security teams across Microsoft, such as MSRC, Azure Red Team, MSTIC, as the technical expert inside Azure Networking to assess the severity of emerging threats, guiding the organization on how to defend from said threats.


For this position, we’re looking for seasoned professionals (8+ years of experience). A successful candidate will have proven experience in at least some of the following fields:

  • Cloud networking architecture.
  • Security architecture of cloud environments, secure coding and design review.
  • Incident response, threat hunting, threat management of large distributed systems.
  • Reverse engineering of complex systems in context of breaching those systems guards.
  • Design and coding of authentication, authorization and encryption of cloud services.
  • Deep understanding of networking services and protocols.
  • Strong software engineering skills.
