Meet Yihezkel! Whatever the software engineering challenge he’s solving, Yihezkel’s constant is making complex concepts accessible to others. He has tutored and mentored countless students and colleagues, developed and presented engineering and security courses, spoken in front of an audience of 500+ engineers, and even started a security users’ group. Yihezkel has come to appreciate a couple other things over the past 15+ years, like TDD, /.*RegExes.*/g and the tantalizing suspense of whether a patent application will be approved. In his spare time, he leads an English-speaking Financial Independence community, which requires surprisingly similar skills to AppSec. He is also the proud father of six inspiring children, at whose request he’s easing up on the family’s security posture: “Why do we need MFA when printing, Dad?”
