At Microsoft Israel R&D Center, we build our brand the same way we build our technology — with creativity, connection, and purpose.
Our mission is to position Microsoft as the employer of choice for Israel’s top talent — by shaping inspiring narratives, building thriving communities, and delivering unforgettable moments of connection.
You’ll be joining a dynamic, innovative Marketing & Employer Branding team that is passionate about shaping perceptions, sparking excitement, and building meaningful connections with the tech community and beyond.
Job Purpose:
As a Strategic Brand Events & Community Manager, you will lead flagship events like our BlueHat IL conference, manage and grow our tech community presence, and drive brand engagement across key touchpoints, from social media to external conferences.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, and deliver experiences that strengthen Microsoft’s reputation as Israel’s top employer and AI Center of Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and produce BlueHat IL — Microsoft’s flagship cybersecurity conference — overseeing end-to-end strategy, content, budget management, stakeholder engagement, logistics, creative development, and execution.
- Build and nurture external tech communities: Create engagement strategies, manage social channels (like BlueHat IL’s Twitter/X), and drive participation through creative community initiatives.
- Manage Microsoft Israel R&D’s brand presence at external conferences and events, partnering closely with internal stakeholders (Social, Comms, HR, Employee Experience, Recruiting) to ensure our story is told brilliantly and consistently.
- Update and manage the Microsoft Israel R&D Center website: Own content updates, storytelling initiatives, and maintain close alignment with global guidelines and local innovation highlights.
- Create enablement toolkits to help employees shine on stage: speaker prep kits, deck guidelines, messaging tips — empowering Microsoft employees to be brand ambassadors externally.
- Drive new AI-related engagement initiatives: Build meetups, podcasts, blogs, or external collaborations that amplify Microsoft’s positioning as Israel’s AI Center of Excellence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to dream big, execute precisely, and drive measurable impact — always with a creative, audience-first mindset.
Qualifications
Required:
- 4-8 years of experience in marketing, event management, community building, or tech branding.
- Experience with managing high-profile, large-scale events (preferably in tech environments).
- Experience growing, managing, and engaging with professional communities.
- Deep understanding of tech audiences and what drives engagement at different levels (engineers, researchers, leaders).
- Project management skills: organized, deadline-driven, budget-aware, and able to juggle many moving pieces without losing sight of the big picture.
- Natural collaborator with the ability to influence and lead across teams without direct authority.
- Creative thinker with a strong "can-do" attitude, resilience, and willingness to learn continuously.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms (especially LinkedIn, Twitter/X) and community dynamics.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity or tech community management is a strong advantage.
- Storytelling skills and a passion for building memorable brand experiences.
