Microsoft Clouds for Financial Services is driving the next chapter of innovation for our customers across capital markets, banking and insurance verticals. Our goal is to build and deliver products that address industry needs on top of the Microsoft Cloud stack – Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365, enhanced with AI. 

 

As part of our growth, we are looking to address a multi-billion dollar petabyte-scale problem through a platform serving capital markets data and streaming analytics on the cloud – increasing agility, time-to-value and accelerating cloud transformation for our customers.

 

We are looking for a passionate and experienced product leader who lives and breathes financial data, is not afraid of starting from ground zero, and building things from scratch leading people without formal authority. You will work to define and influence the delivery and productization of our capital markets data platform and drive clarity for all the stakeholders in the process.

 



Responsibilities

  • Develop deep understanding of the competitive landscape, to inform product vision and to identify areas of opportunity 
  • Partner with local and remote teams working with Financial Services customers and partners (data providers and integrators) to develop and capture capital market data scenarios and needs
  • Collaboratively develop the scope and product roadmap for capital markets data platform – advocate and evangelize the product and garner company-wide support
  • Provide clarity and focus for the platform engineering team and help deliver a market-leading product through detailed specs and ongoing engagement
  • Develop an understanding of architecture and delivery mechanisms to comfortably communicate about the platform
  • Drive rhythm of business activities within the team and across the org to ensure end-to-end success of initiatives


Qualifications

You would be a product lead with a passion for financial technology, analytics and data interested to build out Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services – a new fast-growing FinTech group within Microsoft. In this role, you will need to have a view and develop a holistic platform strategy that combines cloud innovation, customer-first mindset and understanding of partner and ecosystem needs.

 

The ideal candidate would be an experienced product person, technical, architecturally-savvy with strong background in capital markets data streams and platforms and experience delivering cloud services, inspiring team player with a positive, can-do attitude.  

 

We are seeking pragmatic thought leaders with demonstrated experience: 

  • Defining product roadmap and vision in capital markets and financial technology space
  • Leading product discovery of customer and business problems in capital markets and translating them into clear product and platform requirements that Engineering can execute
  • Dealing with large-scale data platforms with sub-second performance – oriented towards professional developers and embedded within other solutions and products
  • Delivering of cloud-based platforms on top of Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Driving cross-functional projects and managing diverse stakeholders to achieve impact
  • Employing technical acumen, critical thinking, and collaboration skills to work with data experts and engineers to achieve quick improvements and breakthrough capabilities

 

You have:

  • 10 years+ experience with focus on product management
  • Experience in capital markets data and platform space
  • BS or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

 

Additional experience (desired): 

  • 15+ years of experience combining business and financial technology
  • Familiarity with quant and risk software development space – common use-cases and analytics
  • Data architecture experience or deep experience working with data architects and data engineers
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
