Software Engineer - Modern Device Management

Azure Edge + Platform in ILDC is expending and we are forming a new engineering team for Modern Device Management.


In MDM, we are responsible for driving the OS and service platform innovations of device management for all Microsoft commercial customers that span across schools, small & medium businesses, large enterprises, and governments. We are also responsible for leveraging data and producing insights on the health, performance and happiness of the Windows desktop and Linux IoT managed devices.


Our mission is to enable Microsoft commercial customers to digitally transform into the new Modern Workplace era, where all their cloud-attached devices are reliably secured and efficiently managed.


If you have a passion for enterprise security and cloud-to-device engineering, then we have the perfect job for you. We are looking for a self-motivated, customer-obsessed Software Engineer to be a part of the founding members.

You will enable device enrollment, registration and ensures device compliance with policies and deliver a modern device management OS level functionality that interacts with device management platforms and solutions. Your work will accelerate commercial customer adoption, expand into broader set of intelligent edge devices, and will empower a vibrant solution provider ecosystem. As an engineer, you will help define and influence product architecture and use insights from data to shape product direction and health. You will engage with engineering partners and real-world customers, and work with other engineering teams across the company to deliver end-to-end solutions impacting our global customers.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing scalable, reliable system software with C++/C
  • Excellent hands-on design, coding, rapid prototyping, and problem-solving skills
  • Track record of grasping new technologies and efficiently collaborating with cross-group partners
  • Outstanding team player with strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operation System components or API experience (Windows, Linux)
  • Experience of designing and delivering production cloud service
  • PowerBI or any data visualization tool
