We’re building a special team to keep up with the ever-changing industry demands as Microsoft Security’s products grow in scale. With all growth comes pain points – and as a Reactive Engineering Manager, you’ll be an integral part of building the team that applies advanced skills to identify issues at an early stage, highlight core areas for improvement, and makes our customers happier.
You will be leading a group of engineers - direct and on rotation - to work to improve all the products in the MSec suite: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), Microsoft Defender for Identity (MDI), Microsoft Defender for Applications (MDA), Microsoft Defender for Office (MDO). You will be responsible for improving the windows, macOS and Linux agents, the detection platforms and Cloud services.
This role reports directly to VP Engineering.
B.Sc./M.Sc in Computer Science, Software engineering or equivalent.
+5 years of people management: recruiting, technical leadership and mentorship, personal development, team building, vision and roadmap creation.
+5 years of software development experience in Low Level/C++ and/or BackEnd .NET/Java. Lead complex designs, implement with quality and scale, mentor junior engineers.
Engaging, cooperative, forward thinking, curious and enthusiastic.
