Azure IoT group is part of Microsoft’s Azure cloud offering, providing cutting edge technology and solutions for IoT scenarios and for the Azure IoT offering and specifically IoT Mobility offering.


Azure IoT Autonomous Development Platform team is a Software engineering team working out of the Israeli development center and providing car manufacturers a platform to develop and accelerate their autonomous driving offering.


As an innovative team, we focus on creating real value to our customers and on delightful experiences. Any individual in our team gets a chance to impact every aspect of the product - from user experience and UI design to Algorithmic and ML capabilities to engineering platform and operations; via own contributions and by working closely with peer Product Groups and Microsoft engineers and researchers on cutting edge problems and by tackling core engineering challenges.


Work closely with product engineering to ensure that the right set of monitoring capabilities are being built. Identify monitoring gaps and drive implementation. Consume and extend telemetry using queries, dashboards, alerts to monitor reliability. Be a part of on-call rotation and monitor all customer reported incidents (CRI), triage them, participate in root-cause analysis, track monitoring gaps, help drive work to ensure these incidents are auto-detected in the future and have reduced time to mitigation and resolution.

Coordinate large scale maintenance and updates using safe deployment practices. Upgrade and extend services running on Kubernetes clusters distributed globally. Identify impact of these system changes, coordinate closely with customer facing teams and customers directly to plan maintenance windows and downtime. Work with customer support team for updated troubleshooting guides.



  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience with SW development using C#, Java, Scala, or similar language
  • 2+ years of software reliability engineering experience
  • Experience with developing and operating code in cloud environments in Azure, AWS or GCP is a must
  • Experience working on Linux and Kubernetes
  • Strong problem solving & coding skills
  • Outstanding team player with strong communication skills
  • Independent, capable of making decisions in an ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and being resilient to changes


  • Experience with managing reliability of mission critical workloads
  • Experience with PowerShell
