  • In The Box

    By Prof. Jacob Goldenberg

Creativity is often perceived as thinking "outside the box", a non-methodological move, something that requires a bright spark (sometimes, a spark of genius) and the domain of a selected few.

In reality, there are no boxes; there are only constraints and problems. As a matter of fact, creativity is to be found within the framework we create, and not outside of it. Creativity can be improved much like any other intellectual or management skill. Contrary to common belief, current approaches focus on the methodology designed to identify the glimmer of that elusive or obscured idea.
In this meeting we will present the main proponents of this approach and a practical tool enabling you to apply this approach immediately. This lecture is currently delivered in three of the top universities in the world: Wharton, Columbia and Chicago.
